All of the cool Small Stick pics you’re seeing feature a – gasp – naked aluminum head, but what you get will be anodized black.
In case you didn’t already know, anodizing is done to most climbing gear. It’s the process that adds color and, at the same time, a layer of protection (which will make our aerospace-grade aluminum head last even longer).

Stick clips are nothing new. We know that. But most of the options are big, heavy, and, well, not something you’d want to take a big fall with. That’s where the Small Stick comes in.

The Small Stick is… small. Like, actually. When compacted, it measures just 13.5 inches making it almost unnoticeable on your harness. That’s the whole point.
You can take it up a route where the crux is between the last bolt and the chains, and feel safe making moves and taking whips on the way. But now, you can also stick clip the crux to figure it out – without having to drop a loop of rope.
Not only is that whole shenanigan slow and annoying, but it’s sometimes just not possible. Long route with a high crux? Fuhgeddaboudit.

The Small Stick has been in the works for a year. We wanted to make something good. And, for us, that meant taking the time to design and prototype a stick clip that serves its intended purpose without being a hassle to use.
The head of the Small Stick accommodates all kinds of quickdraws: solid gates, wire gates, bent, straight, you name it. In fact, we’re yet to find a draw that it doesn’t work with. But seeing as we don’t have access to every single quickdraw ever made, we’re going with 99%.
You don’t need any auxiliary tools to use this stick. Straight out of the box, it just… works. As we hope you’d expect.
